Silversmithing

I work with sterling silver to create handcrafted jewelry, focusing on rings and pendants. My process involves soldering, forming, shaping, and polishing each piece. I'm currently expanding my skills to include lost wax sand casting techniques.

Sewing

Garment-focused sewing, learning to drape and draft my own clothes, and tailoring to my size. Eventually, I would like to be able to make custom men's clothing.

Kumihimo

Traditional silk braiding called kumihimo. Cones of thin silk thread were imported from Japan and I use a round braid stand to create himo. Each braid contains approximately 672 strands of thread. So far, they are most useful for kyudo bow bags.
